é abraçar a mudança

Me inspira lembrar…

inspire a alma
hoje e amanhã e sempre,
para experimentar o novo
e amar sem medo
até o fim dos tempos
e seus recomeços.

Love for impermanence

Of all the mad fugacity that is life,
What I love the most
are not my books,
nor a trip to the unknown,
and much less the beginning of a new love.

What really tickled me
is to embrace change
and the detachment from what has already passed.

I’m happy when I feel…

…the sea breeze that shakes my hair and the sand that caresses my feet, reminding me that the universe has a rhythm of its own and that I must respect it.
…the touch of the sea when it reaches my bare feet and the overwhelming freedom that comes from this small moment.
…the smell of the cake that just came out of the oven and the warmth of a cup of tea that is carried to my hands.
…the first sip of tea that contains an entire universe in a new cup of a new day.
…the smiles and laughter of my parents and siblings and grandparents when they tell exciting and unrepeatable stories of their extraordinary lives.
…that last handshake that I did not know would be the last, but that was the last of the first infinites that light up my life and warm my heart.

I’m inspired when I remember…
…that life is built in times of light and shadow and love and difficulty and learning and pain and happiness.
…that this moment in which I write this text is all I have.
…that nothing is guaranteed: thank, thank, thank.
…that opening my eyes in the morning and feeling the air in my lungs are some of the most important miracles that happen every day.
…that there is no time lost (until it is rediscovered).

I shudder to think
in the voracity of time
facing the changes of life.

May time destroy everything,
and rebuild it all over again,
like the movement of the sea waves
in its eternal coming and going.

May the impermanence of life
inspire the soul
today and tomorrow and forever,
to try the new
and love without fear
until the end of times
and their beginnings.
